It was almost like a blind date - only without the disappointments...
On a sweltering February evening Anjo-Marie from the Voer blog cooked for us. This little "affair" started when I was drooling over their blog (she and her partner does it together from different parts of the world) and loving the way in which they often write in Afrikaans about all the places in the city that my husband and I love so much.

Long story short - we got invited to a large Arcadia apartment in one of the most beautiful and interesting old buildings in the city to enjoy Anjo's cooking. One thing we have in common is our belief that you really do not need a large, fancy kitchen with two stoves, five pantries and granite tops to do amazing cooking.

We had a terrific evening - chatting about the all the hidden gems in the city, people's misperceptions of living in Sunnyside and Arcadia, and off course about food...

I didn't take too many photo's of the food, visiting their blog and checking out this post for the dessert is highly recommended. Thanks to Anjo and Johannes (in his absence) for the great food and a lovely night.
